The 68942 is a highly regulated deuterium lamp power supply designed for both simplicity and economy. It operates all Oriel deuterium lamps without requiring any changes to its settings. When the power supply is turned on, the 68942 heater circuit warms up the lamp for a predetermined warm-up time and then sends an ignition pulse to turn on the lamp. After ignition is achieved, the output current is fixed at a constant 300 mA. LEDs on the power supply front panel indicate when the lamp is warming up or in operation. A fault condition LED indicates if the safety interlock is not satisfied or if the lamp requires replacement. The interlock prevents operation of the power supply unless it is connected to the lamp housing or lamp rod mount. When using a lamp housing, the lamp housing's cover must be in place.
The 68942 is compatible with the 60000 Q Series lamp housing. The power supply is included with the complete 66080 Q Series Light Source, along with all other items needed to use a deuterium lamp. Please note that this 68942 power supply is not CE compliant.
