Non-Bridging Post Clamp, Long Slot, 1/4-20 (M6)
The NBC-1 Non-Bridging Post Clamp secures a 1.0 in. (25.4 mm) diameter optical post anywhere on an optical table. Prior to clamping on the post, the NBC-1 and the post can be fully rotated 360° to allow for quickly positioning the optical assembly and aligning the slot to the closest or most convenient threaded hole in the optical table or breadboard. Then the NBC-1 is clamped securely on three sections of the post circumference, using the socket head cap screw (included) to securely tighten the flexure clamp on the post. As the bottom surface of the post and non-bridging clamp are both in full contact with the underlying optical table or breadboard, there is no localized deformation of the clamp, optical table or breadboard when tightening the mounting screw. This also greatly reduces any potential optical pitch/yaw misalignment introduced due to torque effects on the slot clamping mechanism. This stainless steel Non-Bridging Post Clamp provides positioning flexibility with a 1.38 in. (35 mm) usable slot length designed for 1/4-20 or M6 screws.
